Video URL:}No software or download needed, everything can be done online, unless your Photographer has to erase the background, shadows or dark spots/areas using a program :in this video i am showing you guys how to edit your dv lottery applicant images, there are 2 parts which need to be followed :

• Going to the photographer :

go to a Professional photographer, and tell him/her to make you a photo, a bigger one, where you show mostly all of your above-half . the background of the photo can be white, or similar, like gray etc, but no dark colors like black etc and no shadows are allowed or dark areas and spots.

• Using Cropper Tool :

Come back and edit your photo online using the Cropper tool made by travel.state.gov, available at http://travel.state.gov/content/dam/passports/FIG_cropper.swf

follow the video, in order to know that your photo is good to be used on DV LOTTERY registration. make sure after you cropped the photo, you save it, and no other modifications can be made, like converting the format or size etc, cause everything is already done by the cropper tool.

After your photo is done, save it, and let’s do a test together, go to http://greencardphotocheck.com/ and follow me on the video.

for DV 2016, registration starts at 1st october 2014 4 PM GMT , and ends at 3rd November 2014 at 3 PM GMT . Registrations can be made then at http://www.dvlottery.state.gov

also, derivatives pictures aren’t as important as main applicants pictures i think. but yours is OK already and you are ready to go !

not really the background only needs to be neutral, not always white. just not so many dark colors or dark spots and deep shadows. thank you sir !!

unfortunately all we know about DV LOTTERY process is that it is a random operation. means all chances must be the same, and does not matter when you apply. 🙂

it isn’t such important if your shoulders appear visible enough or not. i seen some pictures with just small shoulders visible and some others with opposite. so, what really matters is your head and your face.

thanks mr samul for ur answer i just want u to explain that when u answer me u write that it is qualified and u put a face and exclamation mark but when u answered mr mouses u write for him that his photo is one hundred per cent correct . i just ask does this mean my photo is not 100 per cent correct as mr mouses . please mr samuel i just want to understand please . god help u
